Pregnant 16 year old girls.
I personally never liked the idea of carrying a child. I used to dream alot about it when i was a teenager, me being raped and then getting pregnant. But instead having a regular, round tummy, i’d have this tummy in the shape of my baby. Hands and feet pressing against my skin (you could literally see the shape of its nose) it was so gross omg.
Although i make fun of her, kudos to Jamie-Lynn for deciding to keep the baby (although ideally, she shouldn’t have gotten pregnant in the first place)
She could’ve taken the easy way out and have a quiet abortion but she didn’t. She’s going to undertake the hardest task she will face in her lifetime. And i wish her the best!

I agree with you. She made one mistake, but she is doing the right thing now and so I admire her for that. Her boyfriend is probably in a bit of trouble as he is over 18 and so its statuatory rape.

I myself wish her well also. Choosing life beats choosing death. Her kid may grow up to cure cancer. You never know. (Yes, I’m a Catholic, albeit a flawed one!) Btw, there’s a film out now called *Juno* with a pro-life message…and lotsa snarky humor! See it soon.

16 y/o and even younger pregnancies are fairly common in Mexico City where I live, mostly in the poorer areas. To me there seems to be a direct connection between lack of education and teenage mothers.
This girl (J.-L. Spears) has just managed to take on the most important responsibility in her life at an age where she should be having fun and discovering her path through life. This is all pretty silly.

um, how is it the “right” thing? it is idiotic to let a 16 yo believe they are ready to be a mother. no arguments will be convincing here, though. my 13 and 11 yo’s are watching. They watch the Disney channel. They’re thinking, if Jamie Lynn can do it, why can’t they? Well, I’m why.

Ok, I am convinced just by observation. Asshat is a genetic trait, the jackson family, the stone family, the gore family, the clintons, the bush family, the kennedy’s, and most notably the baldwin brothers. Proof that being an asshat is genetic. Thanks for the inspiration, Jamie.

Ummm… I think we are forgetting the bigger picture here, the father-to-be is the worse of the two. He decided to go at it raw and eventually got J.L. pregnant. He had the choice to put a rubber on, but didn’t do it. Even if J.L. wanted it raw, it wouldn’t have been her final decision. I wonder though if they wanted a baby because they’re too young to blame it on alcohol caz her mom knows how to be a good mom (hence the parenting book see got published) Who knows… but there is at least one thing we can all agree on. She can’t be a worse mom than Brittney and the fact that she wont ask parenting skills from her and K. Fed already means she is on the right step to become a good mother.

As messed up as that family seems, I try not to be judgemental since Im still trying to stay sane & make sense of my own life. So honestly, the fact that she DIDNT just choose to abort her child really makes me wish her a speedy maturity & I hope there are some family members out there (non-celeb & stable) who will give her a lot of support.
Being a teenage, single mom is the hardest job in the world, but I think every life deserves to be honored.
